With its beautiful scenery, pure blue seas, volcanoes, and the world’s tallest sea mountains, Hawaii is truly a breath-taking place to visit. Try some of Hawaii’s activities such as hula and surfing, and try some of their regional cuisine, but what truly makes a trip to Hawaii great is the aloha spirit of Hawaii’s people, and their ability to make you feel like part of their Ohana (extended family and friends).
Hawaii is best experienced outdoors, through swimming, surfing, fishing, exploring the nature, eating and fully submerging yourself in the Hawaiian value of aloha ‘aina, meaning love and respect for the land are also worthwhile.
You could hike across ancient lava flows and sea cliffs, try the ancient Hawaiian sport of ‘wave sliding’ and even go snorkeling or diving to see the beautiful marine life, particularly the manta rays and sea turtles. Take a winter whale watching cruise or rent a Kayak to explore the offshore deserted islands.
Mark Twain described Hawaii as, “That peaceful land, that beautiful land…the climate, one long delicious summer day, and the good that die experience no change, for they but fall asleep in one heaven and wake up in another.”
