Towering skyscrapers, gorgeous views, amazing cuisine and some of the kindest people on the planet… What’s your excuse for not visiting KL yet? To help you help yourselves discover one of our top selling destinations we’ve put this ultimate guide to the city together for you! Covering where you should rest your head, where you should fill your belly and what you should go and see.
Where To Stay
The Traders, no question about it. The main reason being it’s view of the Petronas Twin Towers, a view which is unbeaten by any other hotel,
you’re probably thinking “it’s just a view” but honestly once you’re there you will completely understand. However, there is more to the hotel, being located right in the middle of the city center it is walking distance from KL’s Suria shopping center and the Bukit Bintang shopping distract.
Although we haven’t got to the “Where to eat” part yet, it’s worth mentioning that the hotel has many restaurants for you to visit within it’s walls offering a variety of different cuisine to please everyone and it also has it’s own rooftop bar where you can sit back with a drink and watch the city go by.
Where To Eat
Thirty8 KL, now this may sound slightly strange but stick with us, Thirty8 KL is located on the (you guessed it) 38th floor of KL’s Grand
Hyatt Hotel, now this may seem a little strange, leaving the comfort of your hotel to go dine in… Well, another hotel, but trust us on this the food really is worth it!
There are other higher rated restaurants, although few are actually higher than Thirty8 KL, however if you’re interested in getting a taste of local Malayan and traditional Far East Asian cuisine there’s few better places. The Menu focuses on traditional Chinese and Thai sea food dishes and Japanese Sushi. Not a fan of sea food? Not to worry, the restaurant also specialises in Steak!
It’s the perfect upscale, yet inviting restaurant for you to enjoy delicious cuisine and a view of the Petronas Towers that rivals the Traders. And yes if you take our advice and stay at the Traders it would mean Thirty8 KL would be a short walk from your room!
Where To Visit
It might seem a little Odd that somewhere that is as close and broadly similar to China would have it’s own Chinatown, something most of us recognise as more of a thing to find in perhaps an american or some other western country, but no, KL has one and it should be at the top of your list of places to visit.
The area is a must see, for starters to it’s oozing with culture so if you came to see new cultures then this is the place to go. Secondly if you’re after a bargain, this is the place to go. You’ll find many cheap imitation goods, giving you a variety of things from fake Rolex’s to iPhones that you can bring back to try and impress your friends! But the main reason this place has to be at the top of the list is for it’s vibrancy, the area is one of the loudest and most lively places of the city, buzzing with energy, there is always something to do. A must see location for any tourists coming to the city.
